I am annoyed about recent happenings here on lj and I'm giving it time it does not deserve. The more I've thought about it the more I see how right Faye was. I agree with you completely.

I'm gonna stop trying to appease everyone, not everyone deserves it.

If you think you are being 'attacked' for a view point maybe it suggests that something about that view or the way that it is expressed is unacceptable to others.

Also I have never much liked conservatives anyway. My point has now been proved.

I'm sorry I caused "drama" (for want of a better word!) in your lj honey :(. I knew when I replied to the other person that it might start a fight, but somehow I couldn't not say anything, as I felt so insulted. I may not believe but I'd never dream of finding others beliefs comical and even less so saying so, if I did think that!

In a way it's made me realize not to ever bothering to disagree with conservative people again, since she wouldn't even accept that if she had a right to an (in my mind) unacceptable opinion then I had just as much right to an (in her mind) unacceptable opinion. I do feel bad for causing you stress though honey, in future I'll keep my big month shut! :D

(btw do you mean me when you say Faye? I'm *****, so I'm not sure if you did mean me and I'm being arrogant by assuming you are agreeing with me! But after seeing that the other person de-friended you after you even mildly disagreed with her I'm guessing you think my POV was more rational :)).

It's ok, I don't think she understands that yes I did ask for people opinions but that when you give yours it doesn't mean that people will agree. Plus I found that 'comical' comment offensive too and was actually pleased you said so. Why she can't see that I don't know. There's a number of things I could say but I won't here as we have joint friends and it's not fair on any body.

I am however pleased that you are still with me, you little socialist you!

I just need to stop worrying about this now!

Yup, asking for people's opinions doesn't mean that you will agree with them all. And when she says something ike that in a "public" place where other people can read it it seems a bit silly to say people are "attacking" you when you disagree. And she said far worse things about me I think; judgmental was a strong word but more justified than her damning my entire character for daring to call her on her being offensive!

Aw, I'll always be here, even if you disagreed with me I'm not so immature I would de-friend you because of it! ;)

I hope you can, it's not worth it. And sorry if I caused you worry <3

I'm glad. It was offensive I agree, but there we go. I'm not gonna say anymore on the matter. Except to say as long as people present their views WHATEVER they may be in a respectful matter I'll listen. I may not agree, I may challenge but I wont fall out with you over it, that's pathetic. I'm gonna try and put it to bed now. x

Couldn't agree more! I'm open to all opinions, as long as, as you say, they're presented respectfully and in a way that doesn't condemn/look down on those who don't agree :). Anyway, 'nuff said! xxx
